Michelle is a dedicated, hardworking and enthusiastic swim coach who has an eye for detail and enjoys working in a team environment.

She was a competitive swimmer for 11 years (2003-2014) and has 10 years experience as both a swim teacher and coach.

​

Balancing the rigorous demands of swimming commitments with academic life has provided Michelle with valuable life lessons, skills and memories, which she loves passing on to the next generation of athletes.

Monique (nee Rodahl), a former Olympic athlete, brings a comprehensive skill set to our club.  She has a wealth of knowledge from her swimming years and of coaching and is a Bronze Level accredited Coach.

During her coaching career, Monique has coached at several different clubs abroad and in NZ.  For 6 years she was part of the successful Commercial Swim Club in Brisbane, Australia.  Closer to home, she coached and managed the Tepid Baths Swim School and was one of the founding coaches at King's Swim School.  On her return from Brisbane, Monique spent 3 years as Junior Coach of the United Swim Club.  Monique is a big believer that swimming provides skills for life and to always do more than what is required to reach your goals.
