Millennium Institute of Sport and Health

A world class integrated environment for the achievement of excellence in sports performance and in personal health, recreation and fitness.

Completed in February 2002 the $32 million Millennium Institute of Sport & Health is owned by a charitable trust and has been established to help New Zealanders excel in sport and to contribute to a healthier nation.

The Institute caters for people of all ages and levels, from those wanting to become fitter and healthier, to children learning fundamental physical and sporting skills, through to competitive on an international level.

Our extensive facilities have been purpose built for the training and preparation of high performance athletes who have the support of on site sports medicine and science services to help them achieve international success.

Takapuna Aquatic Centre

Takapuna Aquatic Centre is an outstanding indoor facility offering heated swimming pools, sauna, therapy pool, compact gym and crèche.

Located on the North Shore and only 10 minutes away from the Auckland's Central Business District, the centre enjoys amazing views of Lake Pupuke and is two minutes from Takapuna Central Business District and Takapuna Beach.

Northcote College

Northcote College is a co-educational secondary school in beautiful, park-like grounds on Auckland's North Shore and has been on site since 1877.

Northcote has large grounds available for land training and a small gym for wet weather days. The pool is a six lane 33.3 yard, heated and covered outdoor pool.

As we are the sole users of this pool, it is fantastic for training with very little distraction.

Glenn Innes Pools

The Glenn Innes Pools, in East Auckland, is a total fitness and aquatic facility - comprising three indoor heated pools 33.3m, 22m and 15m, plus a large spa, sauna and steam room.

They also have a fully equipped Fitness Centre providing individual assessments and personalised programmes.

The Swim School programme includes lessons for all ages and levels up to Tri Squads, Fitness Squads and Technique classes. Lap swimming and Aquarobics are also available.

Additional services include a wonderful child minding area with a huge range of art and craft activities available and an extensive outdoor play area. They also provide sun-beds, massage, personal trainers and a retail shop.
